- The institute joins the Arab union aviation since it was established in 1965 then joined in 1967 IATA and used to attend all the meeting and conferences.

Also moved to another new system for lost and found called ( world tracer) in 1989 stared implementing total distribution system for travel agents under the umbrella of Arab union aviation , and started to invest in Syria in august 1994 , also the institute implemented pricing in 1990 and the automated system for printing tickets in June 1992.
The unique movement of the company was when they bought the huge central computer in 1996.
In addition to a lot of computerized programs in different area of the ( company) , filling , salaries, internet , intranet , human resources.
The airline expanded horizontally and vertically , it did increase some station according to its demand , so it reaches a number more then 44stations in Asia , Europe, and Africa.
Syrian airlines considered Aleppo the second Syrian window for the world, so it launched a new international , for Syrian and other airlines to fly all destinations since early fifties , where Regular international flights took place to Beirut mosel Amman Kuwait , Alexandria , during 1958-1959.

Syrian Arab Airline has a very good training center , where can perform its necessary training to the staff in different branches , a third training center is underway for hosts and others , three more centers been built through out the cities . In ( Aleppo , Lattakia and Deir Alzour )

A customer service department in Damascus airport to provide the best service when you arrive and when depart .
A new department to promote tourism been established connected with commercial management , in order to increase tourist groups with the cooperation with the tourist offices in Syria .

Frequent flyer program were implemented by giving them special tickets to encourage them to stay loyal to the company . in 2005 all the needs for air investor certificate been prepared except ground operation department , this been achieved for the first time .

In 1985 Dr. Gabriel Weisskopf, and a group of major Swiss industrialists led by Dr. Branco Weiss, the I3T Group, founded Softair AG. The company's charter was to develop and market standard software products for the airline industry.
In the course of the next 6 years the company, together with its wholly owned overseas subsidiary (Airlines Transportation Products Associates, ATPA Ltd) became one of the leading suppliers of workstation applications to airlines and their distribution partners (Travel Agents, GDS's, Forwarders).
In 1991 the groups' activities were expanded by the formation of Distribution Technologies Partners (DTP) Ltd. The company, which was managed by Dr. Weisskopf served as the holding vehicle for all of the groups' assets (including SOFTAIR AG and ATPA Ltd).

Over the next 5 years DTP:
  • Founded ReserVision AG and Restek Ltd., to develop and commercialise the world's first client /server airline reservation system.
  • Acquired a shareholding in Lanyon Ltd (London and Dallas), a supplier of communications devices and software to some 110 airlines
  • Acquired Torusoft AG, a developer of Tour Operator Software
  • Founded Astra Infotech (Bombay) as a specialised client-server development organisation together with Airfreight Ltd (Bombay). Airfreight Ltd is a multimodal transport conglomerate which owns the Indian operations of DHL, Carlson Wagons Lits, Western Union as well as a number of ground transport and logistics enterprises
  • Founded Travel Technologies (Sydney) Pte Ltd., a joint venture with TIAS Ltd in Australia. TIAS was the travel distribution company owned by Qantas, Ansett, and Air New Zealand and held the SABRE and GALILEO franchise for Australia and New Zealand. Travel Technologies became the group's key development center for Travel Systems.
  • Concluded Marketing Alliances with Thomas Cook and the Automobile Association of America.
  • Established British Airways Speedwing and Lufthansa Consulting as its distribution partners for the ReserVision reservation system both on a hosting and a stand-alone basis.

In 1996 Siemens Nixdorf AG, through a newly founded and wholly-owned subsidiary (RST, ReserVision Software Technologies AG), acquired all assets owned by the DTP-controlled companies. Dr Weiss and Dr. Weisskopf were appointed to the Board of Directors, the latter serving as CEO and Vice-Chairman of the Board of RST.

The product portfolio (Passenger Reservations, Travel Distribution and Air Cargo) at the time of the transaction encompassed:

DTP companies had a client base of over 50 airlines and had licensed its applications onto some 26,000 Workstations on 5 continents. Operations in Zurich, London, Frankfurt, Bombay, Sydney and Orlando provided Development, Marketing and Client support.

In 1998 Siemens AG decided to withdraw from the computer manufacturing and marketing business and wound up the worldwide operations of Siemens Nixdorf AG. DTP acquired all travel- and cargo-related activities from Siemens AG and assigned the cargo-related business to Softair AG.

Since then, Softair AG has successfully expanded its cargo client base to over 100 Airlines, Forwarding Agents, GSA's and Handling Agents.
In 2000 Softair introduced the first system in its new CARGOSPOT family of products with United Airlines as launch partner. Since then the product family has been expanded to include Cargo Reservations, Inventory Management, Handling, Revenue Accounting and GSA functionality on a single web and GF-X enabled platform. In 2007 the Cargospot system was selected by Singapore Airlines to replace its complete Cargo Mainframe system.
In 2008 Softair AG was acquired by CHAMP Cargo Systems SA a joint venture between SITA and Luxembourg-based Cargolux Airlines. CHAMP is currently in the process of migrating its complete client base of some 60 airlines to Softair's Cargospot platform.

In 2002 I3T principals founded Results Reservation Technologies (RRT) Ltd., a venture dedicated to the development and marketing of airline reservation systems targeted at the full-service, charter, low cost and hybrid market. In October 2003 the new reservation system, Results, was released into production. In March 2004 Thai Airways International selected Results as the reservation system for its new low cost carrier Nokair. The new reservation system went live in Bangkok 90 days later, that is in July 2004. Between 2005 and 2008 the system was implemented in South Africa, Scandinavia, Mexico and the US.

In June 2005, AMADEUS and RRT concluded a marketing agreement whereby AMADEUS may license Results to selected clients. AMADEUS launch client Flynordic, Stockholm went into production in September 2005.

I3T management and staff have a deep understanding of the individual participants in the travel and transportation market, i.e. pricincipals and distribution partners, as well as their interaction across distribution channels such as GDS's, the Internet, Tour Operators and Travel Agents.
While I3T companies have always operated globally, Europe and, through the association with Siemens Nixdorf, the German market in particular, have been a prime field of activity. These projects required expertise in the specifics of the interconnectivity between the participants (Airlines, Tour Operators, Travel Agents and the Distribution Systems). In the German travel market I3T has cooperated closely with START GmbH, LTU, Hapag Lloyd, AMADEUS Germany and Lufthansa Systems.
