It appears through some research that these type of camcorders with the firewire output are the only ones that can be used to stream live video for use as a webcam.This little Sony does the trick. It's output through the firewire port is instantly recognized by my MacBook Pro through various software (iMovie, Firefox, Skype, Photo Booth, etc). It also has a touch screen and its zoom is very fast and quite smooth.If you can find this or a similar model from a few years ago, you won't be disappointed.Good luck!.
